If you are arranging a collection outside the UK, DHL will always try and call the collection side a few days prior or on the morning of the collection to confirm the details.
DHL cannot call a non-local number so for example, if you have included a UK number for collection but are arranging a pickup from Spain, DHL will be unable to call you so you would need to call them directly.
Even in the event that you have included a local number on the booking, if you have not received a call from DHL by 10am on the morning of the collection you will need to call DHL directly to confirm the collection.
If the collection has not been confirmed by the shipper with DHL, then DHL will not dispatch the driver and so the collection will not take place.
This information will be included in your confirmation of labels email and we will confirm for you your collection reference number that you must quote to the couriers, this number will usually begin with the letters PRG, AME or CBJ and will be followed by 12 digits.
You can find a list of numbers for DHL here - https://mydhl.express.dhl/index/en.html
We at My Baggage cannot call the couriers to confirm the collection for you as DHL will only wish to speak to the person at the collection point to have the assurance that the shipment is ready.
If you have confirmed your collection with DHL and it does not take place, please let us know as soon as possible and we can investigate this with the couriers and rebook the pickup for you.
