Some declined transactions won't appear on your bank statement - these are called Soft Declines. Hard Declines will always appear on your bank statement.
Banks closely monitor your spending patterns and habits. They may flag a transaction if it appears suspicious or unusual for your account.
For example, if you typically use your card for cash withdrawals or in-store purchases, a large online transaction may be flagged as unusual.
Banks may also restrict larger transactions if you usually make smaller purchases.
