Whilst most searches result in items being located and able to be delivered onto the delivery address, unfortunately there are instances where, at a point, items must be declared lost to ensure that the potential compensation process is able to be completed.
During this process, the courier will still attempt to locate your item but the searches will not be as intensive as the original set. Both My Baggage and the courier would prefer that your item is found a delivered to you as opposed to going through with a claim for loss.
We provide you with all of the relevant claims information with your initial "Tracer/Search" email where we ask for details regarding your item.

My Baggage is under strict deadlines to ensure that claims documentation is submitted fully and this is why this is advised to you. It is your responsibility to ensure that your claims form is submitted and is fully completed without lacking any evidence required.
