When you book your individual route will have certain size and weight restrictions - our website will automatically check your sizes and weights when entered and show you the correct price.

This service also takes into account the volumetric weight of a parcel when pricing but has additional restrictions. To learn how to calculate volumetric weight, please click here.

No individual item can weigh (actual weight or volumetric weight) more than 68 kg. If your item exceeds this weight, it is too large to send.

  • Longest Length: 240 cm (surcharges apply for parcels between 117 and 240CM or if the second longest dimension exceeds 76CM)

  • Combined Dimensions: The formula for the combined dimensions is as follows: the longest length plus twice the sum of the breadth and width must not exceed 330 cm. This formula is:

Example:

Imagine you have a box with these measurements:

  • Longest Length (L): 80 cm
  • Breadth (B): 40 cm
  • Width (W): 20 cm

Step-by-Step Calculation:

  1. Add Breadth and Width (two smaller sizes): 40 cm + 20 cm = 60 cm
  2. Multiply by 2: 2 × 60 cm = 120 cm
  3. Add the Longest Length: 80 cm + 120 cm = 200 cm

Result:

The total is 200 cm, which is less than the 330 cm limit. So, this box is acceptable to send.

Domestic UK Shipments (Northern Ireland to/from UK Express 24)

Within the UK and Northern Ireland, you are permitted to send parcels weighing up to 30 kg per item. When you book your shipment, our system will automatically calculate whether your item exceeds the allowable dimensions.

The restrictions for shipments on these routes are as follows:

  • Maximum Length: The longest dimension of your item must not exceed 1.5 metres.

  • Combined Dimensions: The formula for the combined dimensions is as follows: the longest length plus twice the sum of the breadth and width must not exceed 300 cm. This can be expressed as:

Example:

Imagine you have a box with these measurements:

  • Longest Length (L): 80 cm
  • Breadth (B): 40 cm
  • Width (W): 20 cm

Step-by-Step Calculation:
